Jahrae ”Jae” Hampton has worked in the mental health field serving diverse populations for five years. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. Jae has experience in community mental health and private practice and with a variety of mental health concerns including depression and anxiety.
Jae knows that learning and experiencing self-compassion through the acceptance of self is the cornerstone for healing and weathering the storms of life. He uses an integrative approach to therapy, primarily combining Emotional Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to empower each client to find their authentic self and reach their goals. He is interested in working with teens, adults, and couples who need counseling services. He is EMDR trained with an attachment focus.
Jae’s clients describe him as personable, warm, and easy to talk to. He would be a great option for new clients and he has immediate availability.
Jae completed his Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. Originally from South Carolina, he has lived in Fort Wayne since 2013.
